Law Firm of the Year 2026: Tenet Law Wins at BLS Awards
Tenet Law Celebrates Win as Law Firm of the Year at Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards 2026.
Tenet Law is proud to have been named Law Firm of the Year (1–49 Employees) at the Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards 2026, a moment that means a great deal to our entire team.
Fourteen winners were selected from a shortlist of 69 outstanding individuals and firms across 14 categories, bringing together some of the region’s brightest legal talent at the ICC Birmingham to celebrate excellence and innovation across the profession. For Tenet, this recognition arrives at a meaningful time as we approach our tenth year in business. A decade spent intentionally building something different in the city we call home.
This award is especially significant following a year of growth and momentum. The opening of our London office marked an important milestone, driven by increasing national and international demand for our specialist legal services.
While many firms broadened their offerings, we chose to further refine our expertise in complex fraud disputes, investigations and financial crime compliance, all while keeping our roots firmly in Birmingham. From here, we support, financial institutions, professional services firms, housing providers, SMEs, large corporates and individuals across the UK and internationally.
Our growth has been entirely organic, with 95% of our work introduced through referrals, something we see as the clearest measure of trust. Our success comes down to a team of 12 talented people who have shown that a Midlands-based boutique firm can compete with the largest players in the legal sector by focusing on meaningful outcomes, not targets or scale.
Advising clients across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, our firm has worked with clients or against defendants in over 40 countries to date. Unlike general disputes teams, Tenet is dedicated to our area of practice, ensuring our team is pro-active at delivering specialist advice and deep technical insight. Acting on cases up to the £10–15 million range, we continue to fill a critical gap where larger firms face conflicts or cost barriers.
From the outset, we set out to challenge traditional legal models, choosing not to operate with individual billable hour or financial targets, rigid hierarchies or fixed working patterns. The award has validated our approach as for 10 years we have lived those values placing our people at the forefront of our approach. We are proud to have built a culture grounded in flexibility, integrity and genuine autonomy. This approach enables our lawyers to focus on what matters: thoughtful, strategic commercial advice delivered with expertise and empathy. Clients benefit from engaged, agile teams; our people benefit from a workplace that supports them as individuals.
At Tenet, our role is to provide reassurance, safety and clarity to clients experiencing what can be a confusing and emotional situation. Fraud does more than create legal problems, it creates wider risk of loss of jobs, loss of commercial partnerships, worry amongst colleagues, doubt and uncertainty. We are here because we genuinely want to help organisations navigate all of that, offering specialist advice and national‑firm experience from a conflict free firm in a more accessible and cost‑effective way.
Thank you to Birmingham Law Society, the judges and sponsors for a brilliant evening. The category was packed with talent, which makes this win even more special. Throughout our journey, we have remained deeply invested in the community that shaped us and our commitment to Birmingham extends far beyond geography.
Arun Chauhan, Founder & Partner of Tenet Law, said:
“From the beginning, our focus has been clear: specialising solely in complex disputes and investigations arising from fraud and financial crime compliance. We stayed in our lane, backed our expertise and put the team first… the work followed. That clarity has earned us the trust of clients around the world and fuelled growth built on reputation, not marketing noise.
We did what we said we would do, and we did it well. Clients valued us, paid us, and referred us on. Through rising overheads and the temptation to widen our offering, our values never shifted. Since day one, we have operated with no financial targets, no billable‑hours pressures and no demands on where the team works, because for us, it has always been people, product, profit, in that order.
I am incredibly proud of the team. Every single person here has played a part in this moment. We have built an environment where empathy and expertise sit comfortably together, where every voice matters, and where success is measured not in numbers but in impact and integrity.
Birmingham has always been our home, and the community here has supported us throughout the last decade. This award belongs as much to them as it does to us.”
