Tackling Economic Crime Awards (TECAs)
We are delighted to announce that Tenet has been shortlisted as a finalist in two categories at the Tackling Economic Crime Awards (TECAs), which celebrate outstanding contributions to the fight against fraud and financial crime. Tenet Director and founder, Arun Chauhan has been nominated for Outstanding Manager or Director, and our Head of Disputes, Liane Atcheson, has been nominated for Outstanding Female Economic Crime Professional.
The TECAs recognise and reward those working to combat all areas of economic crime. Independent and inclusive, the awards celebrate outstanding performers across the profession, whether individuals, organisations or service providers. The judging criteria are built on extensive research into what constitutes outstanding performance, with strict processes in place to ensure impartiality, transparency and fairness. Recognition at the TECAs is therefore a true mark of excellence and credibility.
For Tenet, being shortlisted in these categories reinforces our position as a law firm specialising exclusively in complex fraud disputes, investigations and financial crime compliance. It reflects the exceptional work delivered by our team in protecting clients across the UK and overseas, from listed companies to individuals across a variety of sectors who seek assurance in Tenet in challenging times.
We are particularly proud to see Arun and Liane recognised amongst the impressive lineup of nominees. Liane Atcheson is an exceptional litigator and newly appointed Head of Disputes at Tenet. A trusted leader in complex fraud and financial crime cases, she has never lost a trial since joining the firm in 2016. From defending high stakes claims in the High Court to advising international businesses and individuals misled by fraud, Liane’s strategic insight, legal precision, and empathy set her apart. Her influence extends far beyond the courtroom. As a mentor, culture-shaper, and role model, she empowers others to succeed on their own terms. She sits on the Midlands Fraud Forum Young Professionals Committee, was recognised on the 2025 Pro Bono Recognition List, and led a pro bono fraud clinic for startups. Respected for her calm authority, values-led leadership and dedication to tackling economic crime, Liane continues to shape not only Tenet’s future, but the future of the profession itself.
Arun Chauhan, Director and Founder of Tenet. A leading voice in the legal response to economic crime, Arun has redefined how a law firm can operate, prioritising culture and building a trusted brand rooted in purpose and expertise. His work spans complex fraud litigation, fraud investigations, national policy influence and keynote speaking. He is a Trustee Director of the Fraud Advisory Panel, a regular fraud expert on the BBC, and the host of At the Coalface, a podcast bringing frontline voices in economic crime to a growing audience. Under his direction, Tenet delivers specialist advice to a diverse client base and is recognised for its innovation, technical excellence and proactive approach. His dedication to issues arising from wrongdoing caused by fraud and financial crime, client outcomes and legal reform sets him apart as an outstanding leader.
We extend our thanks to the judges for recognising the dedication of both Arun and Liane, supported by the wider Tenet team, in navigating the challenges of fraud disputes, investigations and compliance. It is an honour to stand alongside such an impressive group of finalists, and we look forward to celebrating the collective achievements of those driving change in the fight against economic crime.
