My wife and I found ourselves in a difficult situation none of which was our fault. We approached Tenet regarding the problem our daughter was having selling her leasehold flat. Because of escalating ground rent charges, mortgage companies were refusing to lend on it and so she lost three buyers; she eventually sold the flat for £30,000 less than its market value, and £5,000 less than she paid for it ten years ago. The original conveyancer had failed to advise her about any of the potential implications should the ground rent rise to >£250.00 per annum at the next review. We referred the problem to the team at Tenet, who made a prima facie assessment of whether we had a case for professional negligence against the conveyancer, and whether it was something they were prepared to take on. Fortunately, we had a case, securing £25,000 in compensation. Tenet were amazing throughout. Walking us through the maze of professional litigation procedures with patience, good humour and consummate expertise. The teams knowledge, experience and professionalism were always balanced by pragmatism, empathy and a warm interpersonal style, providing reassurance throughout the whole process.
