Case study
The one where
we helped a former partner of a footballer obtain significant compensation.
An ex England and premier league footballer’s partner thought that she had been the victim of “phone hacking”. After speaking to her and understanding her objectives, we began looking into whether she had a valid claim. We took the case on as a “no win, no fee” agreement (CFA). After working with the Metropolitan Police and examining all available evidence, we concluded she had a valid claim and prepared her case.
After liaising and negotiating with the newspaper, an out of court settlement was obtained. This provided the client with a substantial sum of money, an undertaking that illegal activity would not happen again, a private apology and payment of her reasonable legal costs.
